Laugh! Monday is April Fools’ Day!
For well-being and good health, giggles are serious. Research suggests humor can improve short-term memory.
According to the Mayo Clinic, laughter is an excellent stress reliever, reduces the “stress hormone” cortisol. “Begin by laughing more daily,” A rehabilitation scientist, Bains said. “It will improve your quality of life.”
“Laughter indeed triggers positive physiological responses,” says health educator and retired College of Charleston assistant professor Edie Ellis, PhD, involved in Advantage program on the relationship between laughter and longevity.
