Knowing what to do after a fall and how to get up after a fall are important to protect yourself from pain and inconvenience.
> After you have fallen assess if you are in great pain or are injured.
> Call to someone for help if they are at home in another room.
> If you can determine you are injured or in severe pain and have access to a phone, emergency system, or Alexa, call for emergency care.
> If you have determined you are not injured, roll to your side slowly.
- Slowly crawl to a sturdy chair or furniture
- Face forward to the chair and get up on your knees
- Lift one knee and get foot flat on ground or floor
- Use chair to push upright, try to sit
- Contact someone to inform them of your fall
