The Pros and Cons of Daily Aspirin Use

Many people already take aspirin on a daily basis to help prevent heart disease, but new research suggests there might be even more health benefits to be gained from that daily dose of aspirin.  A study by researchers at Oxford found that taking aspirin daily cut the risk of developing certain kinds of cancer.  What doctors and researchers are still unsure about is how much should be taken, and even if aspirin should be prescribed to the general population at all given the risks associated with long-term use.  Read more in the New York Time’s article How Much Aspirin is Too Much of a Good Thing.
