Hospitalizations for blood poisoning on the rise

If you are 65 or older, you are at greater risk for being hospitalized for sepsis, or blood poisoning, a recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows.  Sepsis is a serious infection that can be life threatening, and early aggressive treatment is critical to survival.  For the full article, check out MSNBC’s Blood-poisoning Cases Double Over the Last Decade.
